Create your very own stacking bracelet during this one day workshop with Carrie Carbol! Learn how to texture, measure, cut, fit and solder a stack of 3 bracelets. This fun workshop is great to get a taste of metalsmithing, beginners are welcome, no torch experience is needed. This project based workshop is perfect for everyone - get a great introduction to metalsmithing, or perhaps use this as an opportunity to refresh your skills, or have the opportunity to create a special and meaningful bracelet for a loved one (or yourself!). All supplies are included, tools and equipment are available for communal use. EXPERIENCE This course is great for beginners and those with previous experience. EXPERIENCE NOTE & DISCLAIMER Metalsmithing programs require the registered individual to have fine motor skills/dexterity and some physicality such as being able to saw metal, use hand tools, and soldering with open flame. Please contact us in advance if you or the registered individual are unable to do these tasks on their own and we will strive to find a solution as the instructor is unable to work one on one to do sawing, detail work, soldering tasks for individuals, but instead supports the entire class. Safety Notes Please bring a mask (N95 or dust mask) and ear protection. You may wish to bring an cotton apron or wear art making clothes. Additionally if you have your own eye protection if you already have a pair of safety glasses or goggles, if not eye protection will be assigned each class and will be disinfected before and after usage. SAFETY INFORMATION Please note that you will be working with metal, a torch, and a variety of tools.
