Bronze Medallion

This course challenges the candidate both mentally and physically. Judgment, knowledge, skill, and fitness – the four components of water rescue to form the basis of Bronze Medallion training. Candidates acquire the assessment and problem-solving skills needed to make good decisions in, on, and around the water. Prerequisite(s): Bronze Star (need not be current) OR minimum of 13 years of age at the time of the course. *Please note that anyone under the age of 13 who wishes to enter the course must have the Bronze Star certification and directly contact the aquatics office for registration* Bronze Medallion is a prerequisite for assistant lifeguard training in Bronze Cross. This course DOES NOT certify Standard First-aid.
