Afro dance styles - teens (13 - 17 years)

Teens will discover and understand the energetic and socio-cultural relevance of African dances and rhythms. Classes will involve warm-up and skill building including: body movements, steps and vocabulary history and socio-cultural relevance of each dance style traditional and urban dance styles (West, Central and East Africa) self-expression and attitude rhythms of key Afro music genres Prerequisite: None Please bring: Clothing you can move in, non-marking sneakers or bare feet Forms/waivers: None
